What I’m Wearing: Bouclé Cardi and Pearls

Hey y’all! It’s one of the hottest days out and I’m wearing this 3/4 bouclé inspired cardigan smh but it’s part of my outfit and I can’t break this up 😂 I’m currently not where my outfit needs to be presented, so it’s off and I’m cool. Going back to work–that might just be the most excruciatingly hottest minute long walk of my life! I’m a trooper though, anything for my style 😉!

Today I’m wearing one of my favorite cardigans! I love bouclé and I don’t exactly know why. Maybe because it just gives off an air of sophistication–I think that might be it. It always just looks expensive and adds class to an outfit. I remember the first time I wore this cardigan to work a guy told me that he didn’t like it (my outfit) because it made me look old.

Um. I’m not sure who told this dude that his critique of my ensemble was something I desperately desired, but I had to get him together quick. I did not and do not get dressed to impress anyone but myself. I still don’t understand why some people feel the need to offer up their input on another person’s anything, but remember this: what someone else thinks of you is none of your business. It’s just a polite way to let people know that they can keep their opinions to themselves. 🙂

My cardigan is from Forever 21 and I don’t remember the cost, but it’s a perfect addition to my wardrobe. I can dress it up or down. I love the pearl buttons mainly because I love pearls–I think for the same reason I enjoy bouclé.

Also, this cardigan paired with my pinstriped slacks from Express offer a great example of mixing prints. I posted about it a few weeks ago. I mixed horizontal and vertical stripes that shared similar colors.

I added a pop of color to my ensemble by wearing a peach colored racer back tank, also from Express. The perfect accent to this outfit are the mix of pearl and gold accessories from F21, Juicy Couture, Claire’s, and Alex&Ani

Hope this gives y’all a good example of how to mix up things in your own wardrobes! Stay cool in these streets!
