Beyoncé. Beats. Bounce.

Hey y’all! Last night I attended one of the hottest (literally and figuratively!) parties in Charleston! We donned our coolest garb and flocked to The Faculty Lounge to dance all night to Beyoncé (and others) jams all to benefit H1gher Learning. I’d never been to a party at TFL, but I knew it was a rather quaint spot so it was going to get hot–but the levels of hot were not expected 😳

This spot was packed and the DJ spun just about everything you could think of. Ever see a bunch of white girls lose their crap over Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA?” It ain’t pretty. It was super ratchet in a great way–shout out to that white dude who was gassed up when “Knuck if You Buck” dropped. Pretty sure he’s the real MVP of the night.

I’m not as spry as I used to be, so I was aching in places I had no idea could ache 😂! We were drenched and almost dehydrated by the end of the night and it was the best feeling! I hadn’t had that much fun or laughed that hard in ages–the dancing, the music, the cast of characters! I started the evening in a denim jacket and ended it with that jacket tied around my waist and even that was stuck to me!

Going out in the brisk midnight air had me feeling like that girl in Titanic! My arms were outstretched and my body was rejoicing in fresh cool air alleviating the stickiness of such a funky fresh night. I can’t explain how much I enjoyed myself, but what a great feeling!

Here are my outfit details: Sadé t-shirt: Forever 21 (sold out, but similar); leopard print stretchy pencil skirt: Forever 21 (similar and on sale!); denim jacket: Old Navy; low top sneakers: Converse; Lilly Pulitzer wristlet (similar)

Happy Recovery Sunday!

–Nikki ❤️
