Hey y’all! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve actually shown off one of my budget friendly looks and it’s been for a plethora of reasons. I’ve been taking myself to task to not make excuses and to just work with what I have–despite how it may compare to others. I felt good and felt that I looked good, so why not talk about it? Honestly, it’s the best I’ve felt in awhile because anxiety.
But, those are thoughts and issues that I’ll save for when I figure out how to add a back section to this blog for journaling. (If you have anxiety then you may know the need for keeping things together and organized)
Anyway, let’s get into the fabuless edition of what I wore this weekend!
I found this cute shift dress at the Old Navy in Mt. Pleasant for $2.47.
YOU HEARD ME.
Two dollars and forty-seven cents USD.
I couldn’t believe it either and I surely couldn’t pass it up. I debated with myself about the shape, but I ultimately just loved the way it hung. I paired it with a pair of sandals I’d gotten from Old Navy years ago and with all my Forever 21 leaf jewelry.
I got that giant leaf ring and leaf midi online and the others I’d gotten from the store on King Street. I love that giant one in spite of all the trouble it caused me–scratching my truck, my steering wheel, obstructing full movement of my actual hand; but, that’s the price we pay for style and fab, right?
The bangles I also have in silver and the leaf lariat is new. None of the accessories (other than my Alex&Ani mainstays) were over $7 individually. And since I’m getting into the finger jewelry movement, I picked up these gems during my weekend venture into society.
The downside to buying rings from Forever 21 is that you can’t try them on and you can’t take them back if they don’t fit. I’m between a 6 and a 7 and I’m hoping I don’t have to wear the vast majority of these pretty baubles on my pinky. Praying for slimmer finger days!
But back to this two whole dollars and forty-seven cents American dress, though.
This might be one of my most cost effective finds to date! I actually found a similar dress at JC Penney by Mango for a little over $11, but there was a 25% discount on top of that inexpensive price tag. It doesn’t beat $2.47, but that’s a pretty darn good deal!
I didn’t buy it because I didn’t have time to try it on and I forgot to take pictures of it *face palm* but, tis the season for amazing sales so keep your eyes open for those rare finds! Happy sale hunting!
