Hey y’all! After a very long day yesterday, I decided to keep today’s outfit simple. I broke out a maxi dress that I haven’t worn in quite some time. Summer’s almost here, but it’s heat and humidity have been in effect for awhile!
What better way to stay cool, casual, and put together than with a maxi dress? Or, as some guys refer to them, sundresses. So why not make a guy’s day and wear a sundress LOL
I got this dress from Old Navy many years ago so I don’t recall the price point, but it’s definitely not hard to find a dress like this in your price point. The cardigan is also an oldie from Dillard’s. My bandeau bra, leaf bangles, leaf necklace, and Hello cuff are from Forever 21. The bamboo bangle is from Express. Sandals are Sam Edleman via Belk’s.
Those are the deets! Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful day!
Hey y’all it’s been a very LONG Sunday, but I made it! It seems like I’ve been up since the crack of dawn doing laundry and meal prepping before heading out to a 1 year old’s birthday party. I AM EXHAUSTED! But, I had a good time with nice people and great food. I even broke my ‘no cake/cupcakes’ rule (I’m really not that big on sweets and with a job where I’m sedimentary everything’s trying to attach itself to me)–I mean, because what’s a kid’s birthday party without sweets, right?
Here’s my simple look of the day:
The party was at a local park and with the elements and small kids I wanted to keep it down to the bare minimum, but still nice. I’m wearing my $26 Ralph Lauren boat neck tee and a pair of Old Navy capri pants that I rolled up an extra inch into Bermuda shorts. I honestly detest capri pants and they look better as shorts anyway. Don’t remember how much I paid for them, but probably not more than $20. My shoes are Toms and around $50. Accessories are Juicy Couture twisted hoop earrings and Alex&Ani bangles.
Well, I’m off to rest my old bones and prepare tomorrow’s outfit. Enjoy the rest of the night!
Hey y’all it’s almost Friday! The last few days in Charleston have been weird as it seems to storm in the mornings and the afternoons/evenings look as if nothing ever happened. When the weather’s not good, I honestly don’t try to look too nice because I hate getting my clothes and shoes wet. It’s strange, I know. The feeling of wet clothes against my skin is the most repulsive!
However, the morning seemed clear enough so I brought my rain boots just in case. What were the chances that the minute I left the house that the rain would start?! By the time I got to work I had to change from my trusty Toms to my rain boots 😕
Today’s look is (as usual lol) from Forever 21 and the boots are Kenneth Cole by way of Belk’s. My mama bought the boots, so I have no clue how much they were…probably no more than $40. The shirt is a bit older, but I know the cropped pants were $13.80. They’re cute, but the irritate me as they draw every piece of lint they can find! 😩
I would say that my top and bottom cost maybe around $30, which is pretty darn affordable and business casual 😉 Well, enjoy your day! I’ll be at the gym later 😒 Pray for me lol
Hey y’all! I was contemplating whether or not to do a post on my outfit today because I honestly thought the weather would be worse than it was so I threw on jeans and a t-shirt. I think I look far more put together than I felt and I decided to share 🙂
The top was $3.80 from Forever 21, the jeans were on sale at Juicy Couture maybe 2 years ago for $25, the cardigan is pretty old but it’s from Dillard’s, and the shoes are Toms.
Though my outfit is pretty comfortable chic, I went a bit crazy with the accessories–no necklace or bracelets, but all about the ears. Brace yourselves for an unfiltered picture, folks LOL
I read an article a week or two ago that complicated the heck out of earring placement and multiple ear piercings. Do what works for you, BUT don’t do the most with earrings, necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc. pick one place to adorn heavily (or not…whatevs) and have fun with it! 😉
Well, there you have it! Hope y’all had a great day!
Hey y’all! It’s Monday and I know it’s no one’s favorite day of the week, but another day to be thankful for 🙂 Today’s outfit is Denim on Denim! I did a wardrobe building piece on dressing up and down denim a few weeks ago; so, here’s how I put it together
My top is from Express and I got it for $27 around the holidays, the jeans are from Juicy Couture and I got them on sale maybe 2 years ago for $25, and the shoes are from Marshall’s and were less than $20. Twisted hoop earrings from Juicy Couture, arrow necklace from Forever 21, and belt from Banana Republic–each accessory was on sale, except my bangles from Alex&Ani, but they’re affordable 😉
Enjoy your Monday as my hair and I have it out against this South Carolina humidity!
